In many instances the M&E Design for a given project can take different shapes and forms. A good design is the one that gives the Client what he expects to get at the end of the day. NUMECH Cyprus Consulting Engineers will produce for every project a Design Brief, a document that advises the Client as well as the Professional team, in simple terms, of the following:
- Set out the design criteria, such as temperatures, humidity levels, lighting levels, noise levels, fresh air rates etc.
- Explain the M&E package by briefly describing the systems proposed.
- Explain different options that may be available together with advantages/disadvantages.
- Give recommendations.
- Provide concept drawings/sketches.
- The Design Brief will receive feedback from various parties and will help ensure that the Client does not get an over-designed job or a job that doesn’t quite meet the expectations or more importantly one that has omissions. The Client is aware of the end result before the detail design is carried out and naturally, before the installation is completed. Similarly the M&E Consultant is confident that he is offering the expected service.
- The M&E Consultant represents the Client on a technical subject; consequently the M&E Consultant has to be able to see through the Client’s eyes
